Retro Hairstyles
While browsing the internet I came across this link on 40s hairstyles. I am stoked! I have yet to view all the videos and can't wait to start trying it out. Sadly I cut my hair a month ago to shoulder length and most of the styles are for longer hair :( well hair do grow back...

Vintage Fashion

Have you seen Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2010 collection?! It's to die for!!!!! This collection is every vintage fashion lovers fantasy. It's no big secret who is a big vintage fan :) Have already spent a small fortune on vintage dresses but sadly have no where to wear it to. Think most Asians still have reservations about buying used clothes from unknown persons. I on the other hand have no kind of reservations what so ever...to my husbands dismay :) I have dresses that dates back to 1930s through to the 70s. The workmanship is impeccable compared to modern machine sewn ones...and don't get me started on the cut, pleat, pin tuck and seams. Perfecto!!! Will post some of my collection soon but till then take a view on the making of the Marc Jacob/LV ad campaign. (love the old Hollywood glamour and Christy Turlington!!!! Yes, she's a living mannequin...and those cheekbones..ahhh..she's lucky, no need for botox ;))
P/S Another aspect of the ad that I liked was that they had a blonde, brunette and a red head! How cute is that!

Newbie
I am a blogger!!! Yipee...I finally sat down in front of my computer and created this blog. Please bear with me as I am a rookie when it comes to gadgets and technology.
Been reading many blogs on vintage fashion and it has inspired me to start one of my own. As many of you know I am into vintage fashion..the whole 40s/50s era for that matter. I loved how simple life was then and how everyone dressed for every occasion, be it a walk to the grocery store. Clothes were modest but the cut and workmanship flawless. I am not good at writing, so I hope as I go along and get better acquainted to the blogger's life like getting familiar with all the what not, I shall post more pics rather than write. I'll have to dig my closet and pull out all my vintage stuff, take pics and even model some and share them with you my blog readers :)
I might even decide to sell some of them if it does not fit anymore....keep a look out cos I have got some lovely Suzy Perette and Gigi Young dresses. Till then have a lovely evening and I promise to keep you guys posted...soon!!!
